TOP 6 POLISH FOOD YOU HAVE TO TRY ACCORDING TO SOLTERO TEAM
PIEROGI (also known as polish dumplings)
Who doesn’t know them? Everyone knows pierogi… you don’t know? Nothing lost! Come to Poland and try our iconic dish in its best version. It’s like pizza for the Italians, fish and chips for the English and quiche for the French. Basically it has very simple ingredients – flour, water and oil BUT believe me you need an experience to make them proper. Inside you can put basically anything but the most popular are russian pierogi (name comes from our historical connection with this country) – filled with mix of potatoes, white cheese and onion. It’s worth to try ones with cabbage and mushrooms as well (Christmas specialty), more modern version with feta and spinach or sweet with all possible fruits.
BIGOS
Cooked, shredded cabbage mixed with different kinds of meat (sausages, ribs, beef…), mushrooms and sometimes even dried plums. It has a little sweet and sour taste, usually served with bread, potatoes or itself – depends on part of Poland. Very good for hangover!
KOTLET SCHABOWY
Similar to schnitzel, pork cutlet coated with breadcrumbs and fried. Served with salad (beetroot, cucumber with sour cream, carrot with pea or others) and as most of the time here come potatoes as well. Big portion for big guys, comes perfectly with a pint of beer!
SOUPS
We are proud of our wide selection of soups which come along with all main meals perfectly and heal your body after hard night.
ŻUREK – sour, made of fermented cereals with egg and sometimes served in bowls made of bread.

NAPOLEONKA/KREMÓWKA
Delicious big amount of custard cream, whipped cream and buttercream mixture between two layers of puff pastry and coated with powdered sugar. Mmm
