Polish expresions
In Poland most people speak English communicatively but it’s always nice of you to know a few simple and useful expressions you can use to impress a waitress, bartender, our lovely guide or just to be nice.
Here we gathered the most needed phrases for you to practice before your stag party in Poland:
- You gonna drink a lot so as first we go with
‘Cheers’ – ‘Na Zdrowie!’ (nas-dro-v-yea)
- Then to start a good day with nice
‘Good Morning’ – ‘Dzień dobry’ (jine-dobree)
‘Hi’ – Cześć (che-st)
- Sometimes you will meet older people on your way who does not always know English, in this case you will need
‘Thank you’ – ‘Dziękuję’ (jen-koo-yea)
‘Please’ – ‘Proszę’ (proshe)
- And when someone will start talking in Polish to you, simply say
‘I don’t understand’ – ‘Nie rozumiem’ (nie ro-zoo-me-em)
- You did something wrong? Simply say
‘Sorry’ – ‘Przepraszam’ (p-she-pra-sham)
- Is there a single man in your group who noticed nice girl on the dancefloor? This may help
‘How are you’ – ‘Jak się masz?’ (yak-she-mash)
‘What’s your name’ – ‘Jak masz na imię?’ (yak-mash-na-im-yea)
‘ Do you speak English? – ‘‘Czy mówisz po angielsku?’ (ch-mo-vish-po-ang-ee-el-skew)
